Halloween

This was the first year that Sophie went trick or treating. She dressed as a Tulip Fairy.  We took her downtown for Swanton's Trick or Treat Night and then the next night we took her to Granny and Papaw's for a little more treating fun.  Here are some pictures from both nights.

           

   Even Riley dressed up, although she wasn't allowed to eat any of the candy.

Our Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

 It's been a while... be prepared for lots of updates and pictures. This year Sophie was really into the pumpkin patch and even picked out her perfect pumpkin.

Her favorite part of the pumpkin patch:  running through the maze of giant pumpkins.

Apple Orchard Fun

Today we made our first annual trip to Johnston's Apple Orchard. Here are some pictures from our trip.

September Update

So summer seemed to fly by! We had many fun events to host and attend, but also took some time to relax. Sophie has been busy and has kept us busy! Since our last post we celebrated Sophie's first birthday.  Many family and friends were able to come. We had her party at our house. She loved her "1st" cupcake!   

Sophie started walking about a month after her first birthday and is loving her new independance! With her new independance, she is into more things than even Mom and Dad thought were possible! Her favorites include getting into the cabinets and playing with all the tupperware, spillng the dog's food and water on her clothes right after Dad or Mom dress her, and putting anything and everything into the washer and dryer (including said dog food :o). 

 
In July, Sophie was a flower girl for her uncle and new aunt's wedding. She was perfect! Below is a picture from the beautiful summer wedding.

August was our month to relax.  We played around the house and tried to stay cool.  We are sad to say goodbye to summer, but look forward to the adventures and cooler weather of fall.

Our last post was from Easter?!?!

Not too long ago we used to be pretty good at this blogging thing. I will use this post to catch you up on what you have missed.

Sophie has been crawling quite effectively over, on, under, around and through many pieces of funiture, pets and other objects in the house. 

We attended wedding in Michigan and the reception was held at a hands on museum.  She loved exploring it!

She now loves eating any and all food! ( Just like her daddy!)

She helped Mommy do some spring cleaning.

She now loves swinging in her "big girl swing",  and playing outside with daddy .

AND FINALLY THE MOST IMPRESSIVE THING SOPHIE HAS DONE SINCE WE'VE BEEN GONE IS....

... grown a soap mohawk!!

Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail...

Sophie celebrated her first Easter on Sunday, April 4th, 2010. The Easter Bunny brought her a perfect little Easter Basket. ( Notice that Riley is equally as interested in Sophie's new Easter gifts.)

After exploring her Easter basket (and crawling to the dog dish to sample a couple pieces of  her favorite dog food); Sophie dressed in her best for church.

Our Trip

Sophie and I spent a lot of quality time together this past week.  I was on spring break and the weather was BEAUTIFUL so we decided to take our first trip to the zoo.  (We were sad that daddy had to work.) It was a great time. Here are some pictures from our trip.
